Recently we’ve noticed that some of the 5:30 games have been running a little longer than expected while playing a best of 3 games to 9 points.
Because of our time constraint on regularly scheduled game nights we’ve decided it would be best to reduce the play-to-point for the second and third frames, if needed, to allow a prompt 6:30 start for for the second game of the night.
Teams should still play the first frame to 9 points but if that frame runs past 6:00, each frame thereafter should be reduced to 6 points or less, depending on how much time there is left.
If this doesn’t speed things up a little we may consider changing all the play-to-points to something like 7.
