As you probably already know, there have been a couple of things that have gone missing over at the court this past week. Sometime between Thursday, June 9 and Tuesday, June 14 somebody shoveled out all of the gravel from the court. It’s all a little bit of a mystery but the good news is that the court, despite a few small pits here and there, is now as smooth as a baby’s bottom.
Some may argue that the new speed of the balls may cause a slight curve in their game, but personally I like it. It allows for you to have more accuracy when rolling. And anything is better than tossing a ball only to find it violently skip off one of the larger pieces of gravel. Well regardless of who’s responsible, I’m looking forward to see how our skills develop with this whole new approach to the game.
On plus side, we won’t have to worry about having to rake the gravel anymore, which is especially good because that’s the other thing that happened to go missing last week. Again. Oh well, have a great week and good bocce!
